anyway, i have been a busy lady. and i didn't really know what to write with all the immense stuff i've done lately! i've decided to write out a list of the past two 1/2 weeks:
- went to columbus, oh
- went to zanesville, oh and met up with my wonderful roomies, ashley and tasci (and her man honza) b/c tas was in the country. we'd travel far and wide for that lovely girl, and it was so worth it. glad they got to meet the little men in my life. ashley, then led the way to her brand new (and awesome!) house.
- went to pittsburg, pa and picked pumpkins, hung out with my first friend at college and her first friend growing up, gina. i love that girl- she is so good to my little guys, and it was so fun to see all the love she had for them. ashley was good with them too (although she's convinced she's not mom material- all of us know better. so if/when God prepares her and her husband's heart for kids, i know that they will be in a good family). picking pumpkins was SO fun. ash took tons of pictures (which i need!) and i can't wait to see them.
- went to visit my big sis in d.c. she's been living there over a year, and this was the first time i ever got out there (i stink!). it was so good. she truly is the best sister ever. she is so great with her kids, full of wisdom, and her faith in Christ is amazing. i'm forever indebted to all the help she's given me. i love her so much. even though she and her family are so far away i never feel like it when we talk on the phone. it's amazing how our relationship has improved over the years.
- drove from d.c. to columbus, oh where i grew up. my parents are the best hosts ever. they shower on me so much love, it is much appreciated (if you read this, i'm serious).
- drove back home. and reunited with the husband. what a great feeling to be back where you *belong* i love my man, and the absence of my partner in parenting was definitely noticeable.
- i learned not to travel with two little ones without knowing what you're getting into. although i would definitely do it again, the past week has been all about readjusting and dealing with lack of sleep the week before. what a blessing it is to be able to drive 1,200 miles and be safe the whole time.
- if you don't read everything the GPS says, there is a way to get off track. totally annoying, embarrassing and some more things. i would say that was when the worst moments of my personality as a mother came out. thank goodness for forgiveness. and for GPS's to redirect you.
- did i tell you that my sister is the best ever?
- going to another MOPS group was pretty cool. i learned a lot, and will bring what i saw to my MOPS steering meeting. if you don't know- here's what MOPS is.
- God is good and kept us safe. (praise Him!)
