the family stone wasn't what i thought it would be about. i thought it would be your normal hopeless romantic, and instead it was about the world and more about it. i just think that as my relationship with Christ cultivates the older i get, the more sensitive i am to the situations that i see on the screen. i don't mind most of what i saw: the gay couple, i'm okay with- and if you want to know in what way i'm okay with it- ask me and i'll tell. bringing home a girl that you don't love for your family to basically ridicule? that is wrong. i know that he was trying to make things *right* and *fix* the situation, but man, not the reason to bring someone home. i think that i am really sensitive to love for many reasons that i don't know, but i really have something inside me that yearns for true love. i place that yearning of mine in the characters i see on the screen, and it is so hard to see how it isn't satisfied on that dreaded screen. i wish that people knew, the same things that i know.
i wish that people knew that there really is true love for them, and it waits for them to accept it full heartedly. i know that it has changed my life from the inside out, and still does. i know that it is hard to think that you can be so imperfect, yet still receive the most pure, strongest bond of love possible. i think that it's the only thing that will help me continue day by day.
God has totally changed my life. i am talking about the great *I AM* the One who is everywhere at the same time that He's in me, watching me, and listening to only me. The One that we began saying Merry Christmas to one another for, and the person we celebrate their birthday by giving -other- people gifts. the One who loves me like no one else can, and will never let me down. not even my husband can love me as much as He does, and that is simply crazy amazing.
i wish that people knew, and believed the same things that i know.

thanks
well. this past weekend was packed. went to the in-laws and partied the thanksgiving holiday away. we went shopping a lot for a wedding i'm going to be in, and that was cool. i think that i like the dress that she chose. many other ones were knocked down almost immediately when emily and i walked out of the dressing room with the same dress on and it looking completely different on both of us. once we broke out in tears. it was crazy. i chose a dress that i have to eat a bit healthier over the next couple months to fit a wee bit more comfortably in it. i think that i can do it. i actually lost 3 pounds over the holiday. lets hope this trend will stay till i lose the next 17 (yes, the pounds are extra ones, so they need to go).
i can't believe how quickly time is going. tonight will be a busy one b/c i have to work out, shop for a dress that i will be wearing tomorrow night at the husband's work Christmas party, and get groceries for the young couples Christmas party through our church on saturday. i have to do several things that need some time to congeal (make jell-o and deviled eggs).
no good stories yet.
maybe next year!

weddings
i thought that Christmas was when people got engaged. three couples got engaged this weekend... and in order of dating the longest to least!
1. 10 yrs dating: my brother in law's sister is engaged! she hasn't set the date yet- but it may be next fall... but maybe not. we are all happy that friday was a great day for them! yay!
2. 5 years dating: my husband's twin and my friend are finally tying the knot! definitely a long awaited engagment that happened saturday night! (we didn't know about it till after we got home from harry potter that night at 12!)... they should be getting hitched in a mere 5 months, in april... lovely
3. 2 1/2 years dating (i think?): beth manzi and ben are engaged as well! yay! sounds like the ring is huuuuge (yay beth) and it sounds like it will be a 6 month engagement with it being in may! (perfect timing, ben!)
and i'm still married. 2 points for everyone. i am always shocked at how many people struggle in their married lives. look at *in good company* they didn't even make it past 7 months. talk about not being excited about watching THAT movie when i was hittin' the 7 month mark with my hubby. not. excited. no. but hey- we're almost to a year and 7 months now (two months shy).
and. i should have the pictures out to the people who were *in* the wedding this week. now that it's public, and one person who reads this thing will be getting a set -- it will make me actually send them out b/c i have had them ready for ummm... about a year. yeah--- being married hasn't helped me in the way of productivity (sp?)
peace out. it's almost thanksGIVING!!! yay!

sick
i've been sick for a couple of days now (with a minor, none the less), and it has been rough. ha.
i went to the u of michigan game with the neighbors on saturday. it was good- scouting out the competition for OSU this coming week. i think that osu has a chance. we'll see. anyway- it started off with some tailgating and then i had to connect to a conference call. right when i connected, some planes flew by in celebration of the veteran weekend. talk about embarrassing- starting off a conference call with a loud blast. the rest of the game was fun, but a girl who sat behind me apparently dropped her cell phone into the toilet- and it was the only thing she could talk about. i thought that my head would explode! we're at a football game, lets focus! no need to borrow your friends phone and call all the family/friends you have to tell them you'll be unreachable at that moment. one maybe, but not 80. anyway- i'm not giving her enough credit.
you should check out this band named loben i created the site, and there are more *fun* things to come, so we'll see what happens. yeah!
as mentioned before- i was kind of working this wknd. thank goodness i wasn't asked to go in on monday (we had the day off) b/c 1. i felt pretty miserable- and i was hanging out with friends prior to miserableness. 2. i felt like i earned my day off- even though i'm not a veteran. oh well (i get no vacation days till next year- then i have three weeks- go figure). anyway- now i'm even more thankful that i didn't bust everything out b/c the whole project got canceled, and i've spent all morning on creating comps for the project. *fun* (seriously- not a problem)
it's raining out, and i wish that i lived in colorado- the state with the most sunny skies in the us (accroding to a study i saw in high school). am i allowed to take naps at work? we may find out the answer later today

new design
i think that i'm going through a phase where i need to update my background frequently. the last one was disgusting. the organization was icky. i don't know why i even chose it. this one, well, we'll see how long i keep it. i think that i'll be happy with it for a while, and hot pink is *in*
i am able to buy a flash book for work. i'm really pumped about this, unfortunately, i want to be able to buy this one book that will not be released till well into december. yuck. i want to learn how to do things, NOW! boy, i'm super selfish.
this weekend was good, but really tough. we were at a retreat with the high school youth group. some of the girls are ready to be older than they should be. they seem to want to be able to push things to the limit with boundaries, and they have no concept of being calm about boys. i didn't really know about that kind of stuff at that age, but it's hard to let people make the crazy mistakes that people make when they are trying to figure stuff on their own. i hope that God will teach me how to have good words of wisdom come out of my mouth. i feel like i tend to be mega stinky at that kind of stuff. oh well.
okay- that's kind of it. i hope to have a story for next monday, but we'll see. i won't be working, so that will be good enough for me.

november
novemeber is a strange time of year. i like it because october has just passed (halloween!) and then thanksgiving is to come. with Christmas around the corner as well, i don't know what to do with myself. this year, i have Christmas to New Years off, without even having to ask for it. and no, i don't teach. rock on!
the cool, crisp air of november is nice as well. this is my first for the detroit area, and i hope to make the best of it. i'm still the girl who asks people to hang out (it's been a solid couple months, now). i'm amazed at how much better it seems like people like me b/c i ask them to spend time with me. i like that.
this wknd is the fall retreat with the high school youth group. i'm both excited and quite overwhelmed. sometimes, i think that i am not supposed to be a part of this group, and other times i feel like i am right where God wants me. i don't know. i just wish that it was as easy as it was last year. although, i do think that it was better after the fall retreat there, so maybe i'll give you an update later. we'll see.
ha
i'm hoping to take the husband out west this coming spring. i think that we need it. i almost wish that we had the freedom to go where ever we want for new years (which, we do, but i also want to hang out with the college peeps) and go west. who knows. i think that we're actually talking about going overseas in the spring at this point, but we have been known to talk without doing.
i'm exhausted this week from not really doing anything. i think that i worked a total of maaaaaybe four hours the whole week. i think that doing nothing can be tiring.
yes. yes it can.
i hope that i still have energy next week....
i'm off to a sleepless weekend with some 14-17 year olds. (and maybe a couple lucky 18 year olds that were oldies like me in school)
hugs

tired
wow... after a week of irregular sleeping, i am definitely glad the husband is coming back tomorrow. it has been great to have my sister, her husband and child here, but i'm always amazed at how much work is involved with children. i don't know if i'll ever be ready for something like that. you know? maybe some day.
last night was fun. all the girls from the young couples study that i go to hung out. it is so much fun to get to know people better. around 9:00 pm, everyone split, and again sherri and i didn't know what to do with ourselves. so i asked her if she wanted to hang out, and it was a resounding yes (thank goodness! i was hoping my time would be taken up!), and we booked to what i thought was caribou coffee. apparently my memory was incorrect, and it was also closed. i will never get why coffee shops close early. a coffee shop in athens closed at i think 8pm every day. i kept thinking- that's where the money is! i love donkey coffee in athens. they really have their head screwed on correctly on how to be available for the coffee hang-outers. yes, i think that is a great way to do stuff for the school.
this week has been kind of unusual. i have been looking seriously at finding a letterpress. i really want one, so even if i don't know you, say a little prayer for me b/c i would like a lot of type, but i have a pretty small apt to house it. also pray that i will be allowed to spend money on that kind of thing. yeah. we'll see what happens.
okay- off to start the day... have to shower, go to some person's house to drop off the wedding stationary that my sister made (b/c she forgot it and is now 40 minutes away), go to the post office, and pay some bills, and then make the place look like halloween, and mop the floors... then wait for the parents to join me at my house.
hope you have a more calm saturday than i.

Wow
I think that the husband would be shocked at my behavior while he is away. he wouldn't know b/c he can't call me from mexico. ha. anyway- it's not like i'm going crazy while he's gone, or doing something illegal. i'm just being a bit outgoing. this is kind of new. i've learned that people sometimes need you to go the extra mile in order to know that you like them as well. last night, I did! (2 things)
thing #1- I got a call (so I didn't do all the effort here!) from another chick who is missin' her husband in mexico and we kept talking and sort of sounding like we wanted to do something (but I don't know her that well) so eventually she and I are finishing our conversation and she says "well, if you get bored this week being alone, feel free to call me to hang out" Â soIi get the guts up to ask her if she wants to go to a movie.Ii really wanted to go, andprocrastinatee on the freelance stuff.Soo we went to see in her shoes.Lovedd it. anyway- when she gets there,Ii tell her that i'm really glad that she came, andIi almost didn't ask her to hang out with me b/cIi really wanted her to ask me!Shee replies telling me that she was thinking the same thing!
wow- good thingIi got off my sorry butt and took the plunge to ask someone to hang out. sheesh..Whatt a victory (it really is for me, though!)
thing #2- i'm not sure that this really counts, butIi finally got a hold of the old roomie, and it was SO good to talk.Ii really miss being with the three of them, but hey- you've got to move on some day. anyway- we've been basically playing phone tag for about four months, so it was a relief to know that a.Ii have her phone number right and b.Shee does still like me. not that she was avoiding me, butIi didn't know.Ii guess the phone voicemail isn't 100% reliable. ahh..Whatt a nice talk.
Ii think that the shocker, though, comes from the fact that i'm hardly sleeping, and i'm still alive through out the day.Ii know that this isn't related to the fact that the husband is away- so that is important. i'mconsciouslyy making choices to stay up later. weird how this works.
so the first two days have been good. lets see how the rest of this week goes.

mexico
the husband is in mexico (or on his way, i suppose). this week, he will be in mexico, with 13 other guys to build a house for a poor family. i am really excited about this opportunity for him, and also kind of sad that i'll be w/o the dude for a whole week. why i complain, though, is really not of any use b/c i have my sister's family coming in, so i cannot. i'm pretty pumped about that. i'm thinking about seeing a movie later today as well.
we drove home from a wonderful wedding in cleveland, got home around 1am, woke up at 3:30 to do a drop off at church, and now i can't sleep. i'm not sure how today will go. i'm hoping to get a lot of freelance stuff done today (aka, no tv for me.. but we'll see how well the discipline will go in that area). this should be a good week of no husband. sometimes you need a break (i like to pretend that i never do, though).
i will probably fall asleep around 9pm tonight.
i think that would be welcomed.

1 yr
it's actually been over a year since i got hitched, but we've been busy and we finally got around to celebrating it. definitely a good time. we went with another couple- and they are super duper nice. we went up north in michigan, and the colors were gorgeous. nothing unusual happened, and i tried to get some great pics started. i have finally had my eyes opened to the fact that i totally stink at taking photographs. i'll get it together some day. i haven't even manipulated my images on my personal site to enhance the colors or anything. i have to say that is pretty weak. i don't know. maybe some day i'll take that into account. i've also realized that it isn't super necessary for me to have an html site as well as my flash site, but i think that will stick around till i get off my bum and look at another site.
the site of the week is (according to commarts.com):
www.keds.com/mischabarton
very cool. if you're not really an O.C. fan, then it's cool to look at for the usability of the site. it's actually really cool in that aspect. i haven't even watched a whole episode of the O.C.
another site that is cool- is the design company site of:
www.mediumbold.com
tres bien. if i ever move to boston, this is who i am gonna call.

i hate doctors
i actually don't mind the doctors, but i do mind the obscene waiting, and the ridiculous bills. i have unfortunately needed to go to the doctor recently, and they apparently have a HORRIBLE system, and lost our insurance information. this led to quite a hefty bill. unfortunatly- i hate spending money for things that already happened. i paid the co-pay. how did they know that i had a $15 co-pay, if they don't have our information? apparently they have scheduled a random appointment for me as well. no way am i going back to that place until they sort out their system and fix that problem. crazy.
i'm finding that i have this obsession of drinking coke so i can get 10¢ for it when/if i recycle it. i really don't like the system, but at work- we are apparently funded by coke- they have meetings and i tooootally jump in on the ones that have free coke. it's like i make extra money to go to the meeting. that's awesome. if they have leftovers- they leave them available at the consierge, and that means i get to have more for free. that's hot.
love it
show me the money! where is my jerry maguire?

holla
i got in to work early- but i think that i'll be bustin' my butt today. i have a lot on my plate, and i think that i should have considered taking some home for the weekend. i was pretty busy though, so i will have to say that i am doin' pretty good these days. i have three freelance projects on my plate. one is new as of last week. i will really have to bust that one out- since they go to osu- and are pretty much hoping that it will be wrapping up when school starts. we'll see how much time i have to get it ALL done. i think that it will be a great project. i am pretty excited about it, that's for sure!
this weekend i went to a mini-retreat with the youth group leaders. it was great to meet a lot of the other people that are involved. i think that i will have to learn to love two people, but the others are so great! so much energy and love. i really enjoy their heart to reach to high school students, since i would say that i when things started to make sense for my life, and i would have liked to have learned it from my church, and not just myself (if you need to know- i'll tell you what i mean personally- just ask!).
okay- i better get to work. i hope that i won't be working too many late nights- we have some serious deadlines!

wow
i never knew that people even knew that this existed, even though i write some posts with this name. thanks megan :) anyway- things have been crazy lately. i can't believe that so many things can happen in one month. one of the bigger things that has happened is that we have tried to evict our renter, but she finally pulled through and paid all of july and august (last week) and she has to pay september by monday, and then we'll have to evict her for real, and there will be no buts this time. it is quite unfortunate b/c she is SO nice, but she also has a tendency to lie and sort of distort the truth. coming from a fairly truth giving lifestyle, it is hard to come down on someone who seems nice and you really want to give the benefit of the doubt and believe that she is not lying. we'll figure it out step by step i guess.
oddly enough- we are having some serious deadlines at work, and i have nothing to do. we all came in on the weekend, but i was able to finish a bunch of things, and didn't have to come back for sunday- which was great b/c for about a month now the husband had a golf outing set up with the boss and his wife. needless to say- i am not a golfer, and i totally stunk. we played a scramble, and we used NONE of my shots. everyone plays golf on a very consistent basis, but me. i hit a tree, and it bounced back on the ground 10 feet in front of me. when i went to the restroom at the restaurant, the boss's wife told my husband that she thought that it looked like i had a good time (which was true) but she needed verification from the husband b/c i did so poorly. ha ha. oh well- it's my own fault that i have no skill. i sleep in when the husband goes to the driving range and read books when he practices chipping and putting. maybe once my blister heals on my thumb i'll head back to the range and improve my shots. maybe.
work is still good even though this weekend they were slave-drivers. you can hardly call it slave driving, though. i love working here. i tell people that it's like i play a video game all day. i don't play video games, but i definitely do cool things, though. graphic design rocks!
i got the husband to watch ice princess with me last night (in exchange for my embarrassment earlier during golfing, i assume)... not the best movie that was made. cute, but the cinematography was so-so and not consistent. consistency is key people, key.
okay- i'm out... i will write again before a month has passed, i promise- but not till i get back from PHILLY visited the sister, bro-in-law and *nephew!*

on work
well... as it turns out, i have really been enjoying my adventure at my new position. i like the people that i work with (although i am often too shy to show that to people) and i feel like i am learning how to communicate to other people that i am excited about being here... give me tons of stuff to do.
this past week/weekend was good. birthday was friday. i had a great time. and then my computer was beefed up by a friend who is the smartest guy i know about computers. that says a lot since my dad is a commputer genious.
been reading pride and prejudice. it is good, but i will be glad when it is over. 50 more pages!
peace out!

stupid
sometimes i have problems thinking when i am tired. this morning was a huge case of this. i was asleep, and too tired to wake up and drive the husband to work. now i have to go and run in the 96˚ weather and melt. i am already dry mouthed from walking to the dentist and back (success- nothing big was wrong). after i get the car i will have to drive it to the library and drop off videos and then drop off the husband's mission trip application. yeah. i'm excited.
this would all have been so much easier if i would have just woken up!!
aaaaannnnd done complaining about decisions

i am bustin'
this is another weekend of travel. looks like we'll be able to use the husband's company car one last time. talk about a HUGE blessing. i can't believe how God orchestrated the whole thing. we are really thankful. we feel kind of bad about the fact that keep racking the miles on the vehicle, but we figure we'll give it another oil change before we give it to the lady who bought it.
i just realized that i have a dry spot on my arm. after inspecting it, i realized that this is the place that i once tested how nair would work on me and if i would have an allergic reaction to it. i believe that i did this test one time when i was in high school. it is about the size of a dime, and i have discovered that there is no hair in that spot. i find this to be quite amusing since it has been about 10 years since i've used nair on my arm. hmmm. maybe i should actually use it on my legs. you may ask why i say that i should try it on my legs... well- it is because i haven't done it yet. the smell was so repusive, i couldn't even imagine putting it on my whole entire leg.
also- have you heard that there is some same elements in nair that you will find in a bottle of dran-o. yuck

yeeeha!
I have a new job! I am extremely pumped about it, so we'll see what is in store for me. Hopefully things are cool. I can't talk about it because it is supposed to be pretty confidential, but I think that I will be able to give a teensy weensy bit of info when I feel like it (which may be never b/c I am cool/weird like that).
Just saw Batman Begins. One time where Batman does not *get the girl.* I am not too upset about it because I am still enraged about the whole idea of *tomkat* as the couple is being called. I think that I am thinking that Christian Bale makes a better *superman* than *batman*-- but that is me. Who knows? I am not in the movie business. Love the ending with the card of choice- the Joker. That's hot.
That's the news there. When I got a new job, the man and I were supposed to party. Which, we did so that is cool. Dinner and a movie is always nice, even if it isn't a humongous deal.
have a good one-
a workin' woman

give me a break
and i'm not talking about a kit-kat® bar here. seriously
tom cruise and katie holmes... are engaged. i say that this is ridiculous. if they are faking their relationship (as some say they are) they have gone *way* too far. seriously.
i would have enjoyed being proposed to on top the eiffel tour (aka. "la tour eiffel" for you frenchies).
oh. my. goodness.
well- you heard it here 2nd.

the news
okay- i have a few minor things to report.
1. i have found that we were just having a pretty hot-spell for about a week, so that is encouraging, b/c i do not want to have people thinking that i am too sensitive for mentioning the hot weather.
2. the parkers- one of the shows you can watch on *limited basic* cable (which is still more expensive than our really cool stuff in cleveland by about 20 bucks) has bad acting- don't watch it. seriously- it's not horrible, but the acting really makes the air stand still sometimes.
3. apparently a lot of people have gotten fired from having blogs. they say mean things about people, release too much information about their company online. i am wondering if i have ever done this. i rarely write on this thing, so i would assume that i wouldn't get too busted, but i wonder if i personally attack anyone (maybe i should take the time to read the 5 posts i have created before rambling like this-- oh well). just know that i think that one should be careful about what they write- written words last a lot longer, and in that sense mean a lot more because of that. I MEAN, WOULDN'T IT BE WEIRD IF I WROTE ALL THE TIME IN CAPS? SERIOUSLY- THE WRITTEN WORD SPEAKS LOUD... this is why i have some of the *love* letters people wrote me in mid-high school (maybe i should call them bf/gf letters or something). it means something to me that someone would *write* such kind words to me- saying them is great- but i can save a piece of paper a lot longer.
4. i cannot wait till i can get a job. i am so excited. this tv business it getting to me and wearing me thin (seriously)
have a good day- it is nice and cool (still warm-- but more reasonable) here

who knew that michigan would be so hot?
i did.
i remember doing a summer project in traverse city, michigan in 2001 and they said to bring enough warm clothes. i ended up with too many clothes that were geared more towards the season of fall than necessary. i don't know where the people get their information. it is supposed to be in the 90's here. not much better in ohio, i say. not much.
anyway- people are working on our AC unit (we are living in an apartment) and they, of course, have been in and out since 10:15 this morning. thanks goodness i was able to grab a shower. talk about too much hassle!
hope that i'll get my act together today and call a bunch of people (aka 3 or 4) about job-related things (groan!).
maybe i will melt like the wicked witch of the west... apparently i am being a snot today (as i see from re-reading this!).
smile- and maybe i'll see you on the street and it will bring a glow to my face.

i think that i may have just....
fallen in love. i am currently watching addicted to love, which has meg ryan and matthew broderick in the film. as i am watching, i cannot believe what see... they are hiding out across the street from the apartment to be able to spy on it. i FIND that they are hiding out in a PRINT SHOP. they are seriously living in the best place to live... california job cases filled with type... i am in aw of the fact that these people might not have any clue that they are in a haven. yes.
job interview yesterday. i hope to get it. tomorrow i will be meeting with someone about working on the church web site. we will see if that works out. i would be estatic if i could get paid for that- but my guess is no, and i will be okay with that. God will provide for everything .... man, i sure hope so.

my
leg hurts. or maybe my heart. or something. it is weird. i want to be able to relax, and have the confidence i once had, but confidence is slimming more and more as the days wear on. i really want to be able to design with a ferver, but i doubt that will happen soon, and it is weird to be working on freelance projects that are not working out for me. i am always waiting on someone to do their part. you know what i mean? where are the pictures, dimensions, etc. etc. i cannot get something done unless i have the stuff needed. honestly. i can't get dressed without clothes. how can i design without the key pieces needed to be in there? seriously
okay- gorgeous day here. burned my knees and feet in the sun today. people moved into the apartment below. i feel bad b/c i wish i would have known no one was there before. i was trying to be quiet before... but now i feel like i have to be even more quiet. that is disheartening. seriously. no more dancing like the chick in flashdance anymore. (i'll never have the bod she did!)
ah well- someday things will fall into place

workin' woman?
well, i have been eager to become a working woman. i wish that i could be a little bit happier about where God is taking me/or not taking me. today- i landed an interview for this coming monday at a pretty big place. it won't be too creative, but it will give me exposure to some elements and i will probably be able to get another job in the future. probably.
the biggest thing that happened to me today. someone went online to OU's web site and saw my personal site. apparently my site was cool enough for this guy to practically ask me for a job. unfortunately, i am in michigan, and they are in charleston, wv. i had a great conversation with this person, and it was fun talking about design again. it was encouraging to hear some positive feedback from my design, and i really missed hearing anything.
tomorrow i will be going to an aiga function. i am extremely nervous because i don't know what to wear. i don't know what we do at the function. i don't know what will happen.
and. i just watched the finale of that 70's show. i cannot believe that topher grace and ashton kutcher are jettin' on the upcoming season. talk about some interesting things that will happen. i really hope that jackie and kelso don't get back together. i really have liked her with hyde. auhg. talk about too. much. too. much. and- who is this new guy? is he going to be there for a long time? (aka next season?) that will take some getting used to.
now american idol. we'll see.

jobs
sometimes i wish that i didn't live in michigan. or that i lived in a place where there was more *design* out there. or that i had a better networking system. oh well. i think that i will survive. maybe i need to buy some confidence somewhere. do you know where to get it? i wish that it came from me!!!
anyway- i think that i will be helping out with creating the web site at the church we've started to attend. i am pretty pumped about that b/c it should be cool. i can put it on my resume as well. hopefully it will go well! they still have to approve it. my prayer is that they will pay me (but they are poor, so i am guessing that they will not be able to).
anyway- that's the gist of what is going on here. i wish that there was more to report, but it is a bit bleak.
ah well

yo
so it has been a while since i've written.
1. i am enjoying michigan
2. i don't like dial-up so it was stinky at my sister's (and i didn't really know i really didn't like it until then)
3. husband's g-pa died, so that has been an experience. it's great when you know where he is, but it's hard when people who are *madly* in love with him are still here (aka. g-ma (wife)).
4. i don't think that i know what patience is...
5. i might have a job soon. i am excited. we'll see what God wants.
6. i miss my old job- but enjoy seeing my husband.
i have to eat now.

michigan
aaaaaaand i am in michigan. it has been pretty nice. i really enjoy having the time to relax since i didn't really have the opportunity after graduation. i guess you could say a honeymoon and the following week is a break- but that is a lot of change! i think that i'm not really a fan of working anyway.
today i left the apt and there was a guy standing outside of the door with a towel over his head spraying some gunk on the walls. it is for some stucco (no idea how to spell) process and i think that it is quite bizarre b/c he looked like he could have been high from the fumes. all assumption, no hard feelings.
i have been attending the library- but it seems to be as strict as the one in ocean city, nj where they need id and all. cleveland library- i now know why you guys couldn't keep up with the competition of the other beautiful libraries. i think that this michigan library is smart (as i assume that many others are this way).
apparently i look like i am under the age of 18. i just hope that this won't be a problem in getting a job. maybe i could type or something like that? i think that i would not be a hot candidate for that job b/c i am too lazy to hold down the shift key for each sentence and i. oh well!
prayers are being sent daily for the sell/renting of a condo and a *wonderful* job. yeaaaaaaaaaaah

last week
this is my last week in cleveland. i am living with the in-laws for this week. saying goodbye to my first job, which i ABSOLUTELY love and handing it over to my peer from ohio university. i am kind of jealous b/c she gets to have a sweeeet job. i still have food in my fridge at the condo, but i am not going to do anything about it until wednesday. i'm lazy. i am so lazy i am using the default *blog* layout... and i am a designer for goodness sakes!
that's it.
i am ready to move to michigan (well, just me and the stuff ini the fridge)

bags
okay- i am not a huge fan of bags, but i definitely eyed some at Kmart the other day. i was surprised that they caught my fancy! … i get married, and now i want a purse… i am really growing up. yay.
i am amazed by how shopping stores are really into plastic bags. lets take, wal*mart, for instance. they use this bag that is biodegradeable, but then they give you 80 bags instead of 10 because they are so weak that they are afraid that the bag will break. i think that they aren't allowed to have more than three small items in a bag because, if the bag breaks, you could sue them. along the lines of suing- seriously, get a life. use your back and arms, and lift the crap off the ground. if something breaks- it's wal*mart- they'll take it back! (i think that they are #1 for return satisfaction)
anyway... i hope that the last few days of february move along nicely, i am ready to join the man in our new residence… michigan.

dreams
well, last night i found that i was dreaming about the projects at work. one project that we have been working on is a website about hair products and how they are fan-TAB-ulous for managing it. we released the site a couple weeks back, and the result has been less than desired- not the sites fault, but in part the infomercial did not help. at all.
anyway- i was dreaming about how i was at this *fashion show* thing that suddenly turned into the product being sold. then they were going around letting people in the audience speak. after two people spoke, i gave the announcer (who i apparently knew- but i have never met/seen anyone on the account) a thumbs up to mean *things are going well!* because the people were really encouraging the product use. unfortunately it became a moment like kimmy in *my best friends wedding* and she handed ME the microphone. not cool.
i started talking about the product, but the microphone kind of stops working and i lose my cool, and things slowly fall apart from there, but i thought that the overall effect seemed good. then i ran into my boss, and she was really upset with the result. apparently the result of the *event* was not good. what a rip! that's what i think.
dreams can be kind of annoying. especially since i am stressed enough about this account in real life. i don't need to be dreaming about this stuff! i want to dream about walks, swimming at the beach (in a leisurely manner), or anything relaxing.
oh well... i can't wait till we move this weekend. yes!
