Wow

I think that the husband would be shocked at my behavior while he is away. he wouldn't know b/c he can't call me from mexico. ha. anyway- it's not like i'm going crazy while he's gone, or doing something illegal. i'm just being a bit outgoing. this is kind of new. i've learned that people sometimes need you to go the extra mile in order to know that you like them as well. last night, I did! (2 things)

thing #1- I got a call (so I didn't do all the effort here!) from another chick who is missin' her husband in mexico and we kept talking and sort of sounding like we wanted to do something (but I don't know her that well) so eventually she and I are finishing our conversation and she says "well, if you get bored this week being alone, feel free to call me to hang out" — soIi get the guts up to ask her if she wants to go to a movie.Ii really wanted to go, andprocrastinatee on the freelance stuff.Soo we went to see in her shoes.Lovedd it. anyway- when she gets there,Ii tell her that i'm really glad that she came, andIi almost didn't ask her to hang out with me b/cIi really wanted her to ask me!Shee replies telling me that she was thinking the same thing!

wow- good thingIi got off my sorry butt and took the plunge to ask someone to hang out. sheesh..Whatt a victory (it really is for me, though!)

thing #2- i'm not sure that this really counts, butIi finally got a hold of the old roomie, and it was SO good to talk.Ii really miss being with the three of them, but hey- you've got to move on some day. anyway- we've been basically playing phone tag for about four months, so it was a relief to know that a.Ii have her phone number right and b.Shee does still like me. not that she was avoiding me, butIi didn't know.Ii guess the phone voicemail isn't 100% reliable. ahh..Whatt a nice talk.


Ii think that the shocker, though, comes from the fact that i'm hardly sleeping, and i'm still alive through out the day.Ii know that this isn't related to the fact that the husband is away- so that is important. i'mconsciouslyy making choices to stay up later. weird how this works.

so the first two days have been good. lets see how the rest of this week goes.
