although my little man is seriously adorable (i'm allowed to think these things), he turned out be a gross mess yesterday. he and i were hanging out a little bit while #1 was taking a nap as i started smelling something -stinky- permeating the room. i wanted to ignore it but it was extremely potent. as i went to change his diaper, i realized that he had poop ALL the way up to his shoulders (shudder). i abandoned the changing diaper idea, carried the little man to the bathtub and stripped him down to the birthday suit. SO much poop was on his back that i had to go to his room to get some wipes to make it so his bathwater didn't get contaminated (all the way carrying him as far away as possible from me!). i wiped him off as best as possible and put him into the tub. i was almost done cleaning off #2 when my husband got home. he is the best didn't even mention the rancid stink. that is, until i asked him. he told me he walked into the house, expecting #1 to run to him like normal and say *da da* and squeal like normal. instead he got blasted with smell of bad stuff.
poop was on the carpet. praise God for cleaners to help out that carpet. and for the patience and understanding that stinky things like that are sort of *normal* when you're a mom.
too bad i didn't take longer at my physical therapy session and all this would have been on the shoulders of the sitter. actually- if that happened i'm sure i would have paid her more if i had known! well, maybe.

Wow. I saw this picture and thought - "O's hair has gotten so dark". Um, then I realized that it's C in the pic! They look so much alike. Both have such beautiful dark eyelashes.
Bummer about the diaper explosion. Thank God you were home, right, and now in public?
girl- isn't that the truth! i wouldn't know what to do since i don't bring a spare outfit when i go places (probably a bad idea, eh?)
Wait until they start playing with their poop like my 2 year old did today! She walked into the kitchen with it ALL over her hands and said, "yuck, poop!" I have no idea how long this went on... guess I should have peeked at her. He's so cute, though! Boys! We know nothing of them.
