oh my goodness!

i am still alive. the baby is healthy (and a boy!). so far, he's sleeping really well. i'm healing fairly well (and quick- yay!). and he eats well too. which is great. he eats a lot in one chunk, apparently is eating every 4-5 hours and somehow gaining about 3 ounces daily. the pediatrician was impressed. i totally lost the bet i had with the husband on his weight gain. i thought that he would be around 7lb 11oz which is about 2 ounces above birth weight, but a pound heavier than he was when we left the hospital. whoa- he was 8lb 8oz. waaay off. anyway- without further ado- here's the handsome fella. :)
