well, i saw the trailer for the movie, country strong, over the Christmas break with my sister in law prior to watching, how do you know? i seriously fell in love with the trailer. watched it almost every other day i liked it that much! (and i really don't like country music all that much).
last weekend, i got to see the film with the hubs while his parents watched the boys over nap time. i knew going into it that i might be disappointed in what i had thought in my head how the film would play out. my mom and dad got to see a free screening of it (because my dad is cool like this and has connections to see movies prior to full release often) and mom warned me that it might not be the *best* movie to watch. i'm an emotional lady, some of the stuff that this girl is going through might resonate with me, and simply- movies play out in my dreams later.
to not spoil the movie to any one who still reads this blog and is curious- i liked the movie. it has affected me, and the movie saddens my heart and almost lifts it at the same time. such believable characters. beau has crazy eyes and make me wonder if my first could have that kind of eyelash action when he's older.
anyway- all that to say, see the movie if you want, but it is a tough one to walk out of. you gotta be country strong to handle it. aaaand when i look back at the storyline, it's kind of like a country song. :)
