gobble gobble

the boys for halloween- but i'm pretending it is for thanksgiving!

phew! well, it has been a fun time on the road (not). we had a great time with our families and friends, though. :) yessssss. went to my parents for thanksgiving, and that was so good- minus the fact that #2 didn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time without a whimper. then! #1 got sick on saturday, and the husband lost his voice friday night and didn't go to work on monday. i think that i'm sick- but i feel good, minus my throat. i decided to check out my throat and my diagnosis is strep. going to the doctor in an hour to make sure- and seriously, i think that the guy at the desk is going to make much fun of me when i come in. here's why: when i called the office to schedule appts for both of us before the husband went to work, they were closed. he said he would let me know when they open to schedule. what he *didn't* say was that he was going to make appts. so- i tried calling again around 9 and they thought it was strange that someone with my name scheduled an appt for congestion in the chest. i do not have that so i didn't think it was *me!* then, i find out that we have 2 appointments each for us and have to cancel one set. THEN i call and cancel my other appointment and the person at the desk said that he will await my call in an hour (he had been around most of the phone calls and craziness). when i get back from lunch, i decide to look in my throat and see a nice patch of white on my tonsils. check out strep throat pics via google images, and BAM! they look similar. then- i call and make another appointment. thank goodness the dude didn't answer, NOW i have to make it through the lobby w/o him noticing. i'm guessing my chances are slim to none. i'll keep *all you readers* up on the status of my throat.
