when the husband was traveling over the weekend a while back, i realized that i needed to have some things that i can use as a release. something that is of interest to me and helps make me more well-rounded than "i'm a mom" i've been feeling a bit stifled by this title lately, even though it is obvious that having thee kids three and under will be fairly consuming.
one evening i had some time to think and i chose three things that i would like to focus on to diversify my thoughts and energy. the first one on the list is: running. after double checking my heart with a couple of runs, i decided that i'm game and talked to the budget man in the fam and bought a watch so i can see roughly how far i've gone. it came in the mail yesterday, and will use it today. i look forward to seeing how long it takes me to run a mile as i am fairly out of shape. i'll keep you, dear reader, and myself up to date on some goals once i know where i'm starting out.

i have two 5k's on my plate that i plan on doing already: june 26th where i live, and july 4th where my parents live.
