i try to write the stuff down that my kids say to remember later, but i usually forget... here is the smallest amount of what has transpired over the week.
kid #1:
"boys are never grown ups, mom. you're the only grown up" - hubs and i really laughed about that... ha. the best thing i've heard in a while... this morning at breakfast.. classic "stereotyping"
"God and Jesus will keep you safe when you're afraid while sleeping" (i honestly have no idea why my kids are so afraid of sleeping, but they talk about ghosts and monsters often. usually followed up with giggles, so i'm not too worried, but they know that they are thing to be afraid of)
"lets get in the space ship to go to the book club" (oooh super why...)
"where's my super computer phone?!" - for liking this phone so much, this kid loses it hourly. crazy punk. it currently resides in the book club (which everyone else would think it is a blanket fort)
kid #2:
"i love you, mommy. and daddy loves you. and kid #3 loves you, and kid #1 loves you" (sweet deal i've got going on, hunh?!)
-
2: "i have a really big idea. it's good"
m: "what is it?"
2: "i don't know, but it is a good, big idea"
-
"i'm cooking you some food! it will be done in a minute!" this is in kid #1's closet (we made the boys a kitchen with an unwanted piece of furniture) and i'll sit out by the bed while kid #2 repeats this sentiment over and over again. i think i've seen food once in the three separate trips to the picnic i've gone to. :) although, i shouldn't complain because i did get a drink, from a container that he pulled from his jammie pants to pour into a cup for me to quench my thirst. (we had a brief discussion about how food/hands/etc do not reside in the pants for any amount of time. goof)
"i did it with myself!"
kid #3:
he's not really *saying* anything, sadly, but i'm not super worried. actually, i think only the pediatrician is worried at this point. the kid responds to everything i say, has temper tantrums at the appropriate times (aka when all other kids seem to), *communicates* with the older sibs, mimics them acurately, and is SO adorable with how he does "talk" with hmmm, mmm type sounds. he says mama, dada (rarely) and uh oh. that's about it. short, and sweet.
