we cut down and removed this stump outside of our garage area recently. we cut it down one weekend and removed the stump the following weekend. during the in between week, the weather was nice (sometimes chilly) and so we weren't missing out on that vitamin D that we all love. it was fantastic. the boys were so cute and silly "helping" dad remove the stump by digging around it and essentially moving the dirt in and out of the root area. they did great wearing the gloves my mom brought the bigger kids and using the gardening tools as well. no casualties, minus a couple dumpings of dirt on kid #2 which caused a brief meltdown. nothing that removinig the shirt and dusting off the dirt didn't save. :) we love being outside.
also hoping that the house across the street which was recently put up for sale will bring a family with young children. otherwise, the people who look across the street and see a handful of boys plus a very pregnant person in their front yard doing silly stuff might be a deterrent. wait. this could be a good thing for us! *maybe bad for them at first, but still good once it sells, right?

We don't have a lot of kiddos that are around toddler hood, either. How cute that the boys are all gearing up to take down the tree. :)
Looking like life is treating you well in Ohio. :)
