to begin being envious of people who are having babies before you? for some reason, several of the people that i secretly blog-stalk are (read: were) pregnant. now, they have their little ones and mine is still very much cooking in the oven. i don't want an undercooked lil' one, but i'm definitely *feeling* the belly and it is hindering during the time of active toddlerhood. kid #1, you have no idea what the next month will bring. we will still love you just the same.
kid #1 totally fell out of the bed last night. you would think he fell like 9 ft from the way it sounded. i actually had a small fear that the bookshelf fell on him. oh, so now we're getting railings for the bed (which is just a mattress on the floor at this moment).
i did a project last night! (well, two, but only one finished) we have new fabric on our dining chairs. loooove it. totally different look. totally. have a look-see.

here is the before line-up. upper right chair is splitting open.

close up of how desperate this needed to be done.

the fabric on the chair. yep. i know it's hot :) it matches the art in our living room (although, that would kind of be a challenge not to match) and also the drapes in our dining area. bonus, eh?
oops. just realized the kid was put in bed with a musical toy. it sings the alphabet and baby loves it. LOVES it. kid won't fall asleep now! better evacuate this situation.
have a good day!

Cute fabric! And definitely, great job on the re-upholstering. It looks pretty professional, I think.
Oh, no--is little O okay? My sister climbed out of bed *many* times and fell on her head *many* times as an infant. She's pretty much normal. Pretty much.
well, since it's just the mattress and that's like 6-8 inches, i'm sure it's ok. i just don't know why it was soooo loud! crazy kids :) (must be that big head the doctor keeps pointing out!)
