the cutest kids everi've been letting the boys play in #2's crib for brief moments lately and it has been hilarious to me how much they like it. it is the one place where it seems that #1 doesn't push #2 around too much. lately spacial issues are a problem and #1 is getting irritated by how much #2 wants to hang out with him. i've been trying to figure out a happy medium but it is a hard balance for me to grasp. #1 is really wanting his independence, but he's also looking to #2 for inspiration on actions and that is obviously not the way to go in showing maturity. :)
a couple of my favorite moments between the two of the boys today is when #1 was helping #2 climb the stairs (which is giving me a heart attack!) and he put #2's hand on the steps for balance to keep him focused. another time was when i put #2 into the high chair and #1 gave a toy to him so he would be entertained while i got the finishing touches done with dinner. i feel totally blessed to have a great big brother on my hands. we just need to work out the kinks, which i feel like will help a bit with a larger vocabulary. someday that will happen!
