i've been hiding out inside the house avoiding the super cold temperatures. although i have a super great husband who scraped my car this morning, i have completely avoided the outside today. eugh. i was in the negatives, which seems to be too low for errand running. i even asked if someone could stop by here instead of meeting them at work to discuss a project (yes, i do work. shocking, i know since i don't really ever talk of it). though i think the kids needed an inside day. one where they could make a mess, know that they would easily head off to bed for a nap, and not freeze. yeah.
between the cool people who use their snowblower on our sidewalk (though you can't really tell in the photograph above) and the elbow grease i and my husband have been using, the snow has been removed 8 times in 5 days. maybe even more than that since our sidewalk looks really good.
i'm glad that i am not a post carrier. if i were, though, i'd definitely try to run (trot) to keep warm. no one would make fun of the person who brings your mail b/c that would be risky.
